In the early 70s the drummer Uffe Åhman was stationed in Borlänge in Allhusets garage with the band ” Ogräset Växer ”. Later on, parts of this band became the first edition of Åhman Band, where among others Peter Carlsson (Blå Grodorna) and Pelle ”Kebnekajse” Lindström took part.

During the 70s Åhman Band toured intensely and they went on a trip to Africa which Peter Carlsson, as the great storyteller he is, brought up and gave away everything in a summer program on a Swedish radio show a couple of years ago. Peter who at that time was a part of the band knew how to tell the story just right.

Today the band stands for heavy rocking rhythms and the band contains of: The legend Uffe Åhman on drums, world guitarist Thomas Larsson on guitar and vocals, his brother Joakim Larsson on bass and Jonny Sörman on guitar and vokals. In the past Uffe was a part of Sky High and Yngves orchestra with Clas Yngström, who he got to know when Clas was just 14 years old. With Sky High Uffe was a big success, especially at a gig in a club in Amsterdam during the 10 year anniversary of Jimi Hendrix death.

An English news paper who reviewed the event wrote that Sky High was the climax of the festival. Uffe is the ordinary drummer of Yngströms Hendrix trio; Purple Fire, and 1993 they toured round USA with the base player Arne ”Dynamit” Blomqvist where they did a Hendrix-tribute to an astonished American crowd.

Thomas Larsson the guitarist from Dalarna who has the whole world as his work area, his knowledge as a guitar player is undisputed. For 4 years he played with Glenn Hughes, and wrote songs that he recorded among others. He also released the solo album ”Free ride” in Japan! ”The last Rock ´n Roll Band on Earth” are available the whole year around!
