Eric Hansson singer and guitar player in EBB (Eric's Bluesband) met Allen at an early age and he was fortuned to sit in with Allen’s band, Fat City Blues regularly. During the years they have played together a lot and finally the result was the record with the name Allen Finney and Ebb.
Allen himself has composed the songs, and the record is worked on by Eric Hansson and EBB. The record is on Daddy Long Legs Productions distributed by Blaze Records.
In the early days with Fat City Blues, the band had a roots music repertoire of blues, blues-influenced rock, country, rhythm and blues, and rock 'n' roll. Allen and the band performed songs by artists such as Junior Wells, Muddy Waters, Willie Nelson, Sonny Boy Williamson, The Doors, The Coasters, and Jerry Lee Lewis, as well as Allen's own compositions.
Before moving to Sweden, Allen lived in Paris, where he had a band that opened for internationally-acclaimed artists such as J.J Cale and Canned Heat. Allen had a hit single in French on the play list.
Before moving to France, Allen worked in Hollywood as a free-lance actor and had a role as a folk musician in a TV series, based on his background in '60s folk music. He has a B.A. in Humanities, and his love of literature and Shakespeare remains despite his decision to choose music for his profession.
Allen, born (1945) and raised in Sanford, Michigan USA, in the Upper Peninsula. For him, the woods of his native home have been replaced by the forests of Sweden and the streets and pubs of Stockholm.
