”Status Quo” in their glory days. Arne ”Dynamit” Blomqvist have gathered a wonderful group of people with one purpose: bring life into the old forgotten hits of Status Quo!

20 years playing bass in Sky High, then the inspiration was lost. But the urge to play was to big, so Mr Dynamite started a project, he was going to reintroduce the old hits of his all time favourite band ”Status Quo”. But instead of playing the biggest most worn out hits they would dig out the great forgotten ones that “SQ” produced.

This is about roaring telecasters and a fierce show. If the crowd would like to hear some of the more well known tunes of Status, just tell the band, they will definitely deliver and you will not be disappointed!

With “Mr Dynamite” on bass and as far away from the mike as possible it is guaranteed to rock. With his frenzy beats Mats ”Brudmagneten” Lindgren makes the drums come alive, on Fender telecasters (of course) Jens ”Bitsbrytarkungen” Walberg and Rickard ”Mos o Korv” Olsson make the strings curl themselves.

With his solid background as the base player in Sky High, Arne is the one except Clas Yngstrom who’s been a part of Sky High the longest, and also toured with the band around the world.

Clas tells us:

Sky High toured with Diesel Band in 1990, where among others Status old drummer, John Koghland played. Arne got the chance to join in on a couple of songs and a happier Arne is seldom seen. –

Another amazing story is from a Sky High tour where original Status base player, Allan Lancaster turned up on the same event, (the actual reason to why Arne started to play the base). Mr Arne had decided that he was going to ask Allan to sign his base. Back in the lounge after the gig Allan came to see Arne to get HIS autograph on HIS base. Just to see those two signing each others base could make any grown man cry…
