You will hear songs by Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder, in a new hard arrangement for funky slap bass and howling Hendrix guitar.

Wonderjack are three colourful musicians from Borlänge, and this project has become one of their favourites!

Klas ”Häggbert” Hägglund – bas, who constantly got to fill in as Sky High’s stand in bass player, he also was a part of the Pop-group Stonecake and the much heavier Death Organ.

Eiron Johansson – drums, Borlänges best kept secret (kind of)… – plays with among others, super guitarist Thomas Larssons trio and Rocking Boogie Band.

Clas Yngström – guitar and vocals, devoted leader of Sky High since 30 years!

The idea of Wonderjack developed about 20 years ago when Klas H was an intern at Clas Yngströms guitar shop”Dr Guitar”. They wanted to find a way of combining raw funk with Jimi Hendrix rock. As they say, better late then never: Early spring of 2006 Clas came up with the idea of taking songs by Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder, and make a tough new arrangement for funky slap bass and howling Hendrix guitar.

Their first ever performance took place at Jazz club Fasching in Stockholm and was a great success in more ways then one! For example: The audience is totally different compared to Sky High, and just to see all the young ladies with an old relation to Michael Jackson shaking away to our Funk-rock beats, that’s sweet….

During spring 2007 Wonderjack will record their first album, it is set to be available in fall -07.
